The room was large, comfortable and clean. The breakfast buffet contained a great variety and was very good. The location is central to all the sights in Stirling and convenient to the train station. We would have liked to stay longer and would definitely stay there again!
Excellent location and beakfast.
Welcoming staff, nice clean room, exceptional bathroom, super location re railway station, all the breakfast you could ever want, good value and definitely want to stay there again.
Comfortable rooms, good food and friendly staff.
The hotel advertises free parking - but the space is severely limited due to the absence of parking lines and when the hotel is busy with a function. For example, the parking experience is horrendous! We gave up and decided to park elsewhere.
Room was very nice, had a lovely view of the wallace monument from window.staff very helpful, and hardly any noise which was great because ther was a wedding on when we got there,Breakfast was very nice as well.Right in the heart of stirling so great for the shops and sights.
Good sized room and overall a nice traditional feel to the hotel.
Bar was a bit pricey as most of them are at the moment!
Staff were not happy when we arrived at 10.05am for breakfast, that finished at 10.15am. Would rather not eat feeling like we are being frowned at. We had a quick breakfast and left quickly. Not great!
Hotel room was lovely but hotel lobby, bar area and corridors were very tired and worn looking and in need of painting/upgrading. Had lunch in the hotel - it was poor. Bread was stale. The breakfast was also badly organised. People had to wait for bacon and eggs etc. as they ran out.
Did not have tv in room. Had a tv bracket but no tv! Room was good and good value overall a pleasant experience.
On our visit we found it quiet and relaxing with friendly staff in dining area and reception,
Pot holes at rear car park require attention, also bathroom finishes at floor vinyl was delapidated and fan extraction not evident, also on our final bill we were over charged ,but was reinstated
The hotel was very relaxing, food was excellent and the staff very friendly.
Only downside was the leak in the ceiling (as we were on the top floor & it was heavy rain all day) disrupted our sleep due to having to move bed across as it was dripping onto the bed.Luckily this was our last night, staff were told in the morning & they said it was going to be looked at.
Impressive building,great breakfast.
We had booked an Executive double room and were given a twin bedded room instead. When we informed the staff of this we were then given a double room which we were informed was an Executive Double by the Duty Manager, but this appeared to be a bog standard and extremely small double. In the publicity photographs there are couches with ample room to move around. booked out and nothing else was available.Very disappointing and highly misleading. There was also a function in the Ballroom which led to a very noisy and sleepless night in the corridor we were located on,ie,the 1st floor.
its position in stirling is perfect for the shops and the major attractions , the staff are friendly and helpfull , the hotel is clean and very nice to spend time in and the food and service were excellent , the only thing i could fault would be the directions to the car park but that may be more my sense of direction than any fault of the hotel .
i have no complaints about the hotel , everything was excellent .
Ideal location for Stirling with alot of history. Having stayed at the hotel before i would recommend asking for a room on the 1 st or 2 nd floor as these have been modernly re-furbished.
The Wi-Fi only really works in the reception area of the hotel and not the bar area or rooms
Pleasant staff, good service.
Bathroom fittings in room 103 were loose. Toilet seat, toilet roll holder and raps on sink were all loose, despite the shower room being obviously new and clean.
